Brantford man arrested after Cainsville break and enter

Brant County OPP have arrested and charged a man following a Sunday morning break and enter at a business in a community in Brantford.

Shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, the OPP received a report of a suspicious person pushing a shopping cart filled with scrap metal along Colborne Street East near Blossom Avenue in Cainsville.

Officers arrived on scene and found evidence of a break and enter at a business on Colborne Street East. Further investigation led police to a suspect in Brantford in possession of stolen property and tools linked to a break-in.

Jason White, 39, of Brantford, was charged with break and enter, possession of break-in instruments and mischief and possession of property obtained by crime, both under $5,000.

White was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 11.
