Brantford council approves sale of Arrowdale Municipal Golf Course

Brantford City Council has approved the sale of Arrowdale Municipal Golf Course.
Councillors voted to accept a $14 million offer from Elite M.D Developments to buy nearly 32 acres of city-owned land.
The other 17 acres of the Arrowdale lands will be turned into a community park.
The city says money from the sale will be invested in affordable housing.
Brantford’s Housing Master Plan calls for an additional 845 affordable housing units to be built over the next 10 years.
Critics of the sale say the decision was rushed through and lacked proper public consultation.
