Brantford assault with spiked golf club

On Tuesday, around 4pm, a man went to a motel on Colborne St. carrying a golf club that was covered with spikes around the head.

The man then went and stole an e-bike that was parked in front of one of the motel rooms.

The owner of the e-bike was alerted by the motel staff and chased the suspect on foot.

The owner eventually caught up to the man and confronted him about his e-bike. The man then struck the owner on the left elbow with the golf club which caused several punctures.

The suspect then ran off and went to a home on Rawdon St. and entered the home through an unlocked door and was confronted by the homeowner.

The suspect threatened to hit the homeowner with his spiked golf club and then was told to leave.

Brantford Police was called and was able to locate the the suspect.

Police have arrested and charged a 30 year old man from Brantford.
