Burlington Ontario Provincial Police say a 24-year-old Brampton driver is dead after a vehicle rollover, carrying three other passengers, on the QEW last night.

In a video message, Const. Kerry Schmidt says that a vehicle in the Toronto-bound lane lost control near Fruitland Rd. in Stoney Creek.

A 24-year-old driver from Brampton was thrown from the vehicle, police says he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 27-year-old passenger was also ejected and taken to hospital in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.

Two others in the vehicle were not injured.

Officers say the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Roads in the area reopened at 3 a.m. on Monday.

The OPP asks anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to reach out and contact police.
