Brampton man charged with possession of a gun and cocaine

On May 9, after 12pm, Hamilton police were called to a disturbance on Main Street East and Carrick Avenue.

When police arrived they found 4 people, 2 men and 2 women.

During a conversation with police, one of the men became nervous and un-cooperative. Police noticed him attemptting to hide something in his waistband while discarding a bag.

Police suspected that he was hiding a weapon and detained him.

Police found over 15 grams of cocaine and over $600 in cash. A loaded gun, with extra ammo, was found in the discarded bag.

Police have arrested and charged 21 year old, Alfred Amoa-Yeboah from Brampton.

He is expected to appear in court to answer to the charges.
