Brampton man brutally attacked by 3 men with axes and machete

Punjabi radio host and real estate agent Joti Singh Mann is recovering from life-altering injuries after he was brutally attacked by three men with axes and a machete. Some of the images in this story are disturbing but they are a key part of the investigation.
The attack happened just outside of the man’s home in Brampton just after 8 a.m. Thursday, August 4, around Hurontario Street and Mayfield Road
The entire incident is caught on a home security camera. Video shows Mann getting into a white jeep in broad daylight when a person wearing all black rushes at him with an axe.
The attacker breaks the driver’s side window as two more men join the scene, brutally beating and hacking at the radio host with axes and a machete.
The attack continues behind the vehicle as he tries to flee until Mann’s mother runs out of the house. Police say that likely saved his life.
Peel police believe this is a targeted incident and say there’s no ongoing danger to the public.
Police are still searching for the attackers, all three were wearing surgical masks, black clothing, and black gloves.
Police also say the radio host had received a death threat a few days prior, and that a plan for his safety was already in place when the attack occurred. They are still investigating if the two are related.
Police are asking anyone with information to please contact a detective.
