A Brampton man faces several charges in a human trafficking investigation in Halton Region.

Halton police say they made the arrest on Saturday, following a brief investigation.

They say the survivor in this case was trafficked within Halton and surrounding areas.

Gavin Reid, 29, of Brampton was arrested in Barrie. He’s been charged with:

  • Trafficking in Persons
  • Procuring – Provide Sexual Services for Consideration
  • Knowingly Advertise Sexual Services
  • Withhold or Destroy Identity/Documents
  • Receive Material Benefit resulting from Trafficking in Persons
  • Receive Material Benefit resulting from Sexual Services
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Aggravated Assault

Police say he goes by the alias of “Blaze.”

They believe there are other survivors in this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-825-4747 ext. 5331.
