Brampton man arrested for arson after semi-truck fire in Milton

Halton police have arrested a 31-year-old Brampton man for arson after a semi-truck was destroyed by fire in Milton at the beginning of October.
Police say they were called on Oct. 2 around 4 a.m. for a fire in a parking lot at 326 Bronte St. North.
Officers arrived to find a semi-truck fully engulfed in flames., with a pickup truck next to the semi also damaged.

After the fire was extinguished, police noticed that gasoline had been poured over other semi-trucks in the lot, although they were not set on fire.
An investigation led to the arrest of 31-year-old Kumar Vinit of Brampton who faces two counts of arson and one count of mischief over $5,000.
