Southern Ontario is finally getting its first taste of winter. Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning which includes Hamilton, St. Catharines and the Niagara region.
Public works crews say they’re ready for whatever Mother Nature has in store and before the snow even hit the ground, crews were busy loading their trucks with salt.
The city says they are monitoring both weather and road conditions. They have 110 plows and salters ready to hit city streets as the weather worsens.
The OPP is warning of slippery roads and poor visibility for tomorrow’s morning commute.
