Boy almost drowns in Burlington

A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being pulled from a pool in burlington this afternoon.

Halton Police and EMS were called to the home in the area of North Shore Boulevard and King Road at around 3:00 this afternoon. When they arrived, family members were already performing CPR on the boy. He was conscious when paramedics took him to Joseph Brant Hospital, but he has now been transferred to McMaster Children’s Hospital.

Police say there were adults in the backyard when he fell in the pool. They are reminding parents to always keep an eye on children near water.

Last weekend a six-year-old girl was also pulled from a pool in Burlington, and has recovered.
