Box cutter stabbing

A man was stabbed with what is believed to be a box cutter near the Hamilton waterfront Tuesday afternoon police were called to Guise and Hughson Street at about 1:30 pm after reports of a stabbing near the Hamilton Police Marine Unit.

When they arrived, they found a man with a single stab wound to the abdomen.

The victim and eyewitnesses were able to provide the authorities with a good description of two men who took off on bikes.

Police arrested two suspects at Ferry Street and Hughson Street North a short time later.

A weapon has not been recovered, as police continue their investigation.
