One group in Hamilton decided to stay warm by lacing up their bowling shoes for a good cause today.

The bowling event took place at Splitsville bowl to support Wesley Urban Ministries. Young and old sent the pins tumbling to help the less fortunate with meals, health care and most importantly – housing and homelessness services.

Andrea Buttars of Wesley Urban Minstries says they were “raising funds for a great local cause to support individuals who are vulnerable or homeless, and people of all ages came but particularly a lot of families.”

Judy Marsales Real Estate co-sponsored the event. Sales rep Steve Roblin told CHCH News, “on a day like today when it’s absolutely freezing outside we’re reminded of the great people who are working in the community to help those less fortunate.”

Wesley Urban Ministries is celebrating its 60th year in the community.
