Smich’s rap music and the facial expressions he used when performing were shown to the jury today. Smich has told the court that he wanted to have a career as a rapper and that his co-accused Dellen Millard was very encouraging.

Smich continued for a second full day in cross examination by one of Dellen Millard’s lawyers, Nadir Sachak. Sachak spent a lot of time reading and having Mark Smich read lyrics that were found on his iPad. Lyrics about a 380 gun, about running from police and about killing people. Smich said none of that was real, it was just his hobby.

Smich says he rapped about lots of things he didn’t have, women, money, cars, guns. Sachak had him read the words to his rhymes.
“but I still gotta get away nice and splendid. Got my 9 so I’m runnin like its nothing. Till I`m dead, kid!”
“I’m just comin for the loot, so shoot first, I come for your new purse and wallets, I want some chronics and that juice cuz ima alcoholic.”

The rap lyrics were updated just one day before Smich was arrested for Tim Bosma’s murder, but Smich says he does not know what was changed. He said Millard often helped him with lyrics.

Sachak took another line from a Smich rap, using the Smich nickname Say10, he asked,
“did you say f with me, Say10 before you pulled the trigger and killed Tim Bosma?”
“sir, I was not even in the vehicle,” Smich said.

Later Sachak tried to get Smich to say how much he profited from Tim Bosma’s death. Smich said Millard gave him a couple hundred dollars worth of weed and he expected more cash later but said it was Millard who wanted profit from the death of Tim Bosma. He’s back tomorrow morning for more cross with Nadir Sachak, then the crown.
