Bosma Day 37

Conversations between the two accused were the focus of the Tim Bosma murder trial today. The jury heard from a Hamilton police officer who examined cell phones and other devices seized from Dellen Millard, Mark Smich and their associates. In one message that seems to be from Millard to Smich, there is a to-do list, the list includes getting Mark Smich a drivers licence, stealing a boat, and stealing a Dodge 3500 truck.
The jury had already heard some original rap lyrics that Mark Smich had on his iPad, in which he rhymes about his “380” the crown believes Tim Bosma was shot with a 380 calibre pistol. Today, more lyrics from what appears to be the same song.
“Say 10” was a Mark Smich nickname, an obvious play on the word Satan. He has a hat with the reference and today the jury also saw stylized ink on his hand that also reads Say 10. The jury also saw several messages that relate to stealing, and seem to show Millard and Smich planning to take a Dodge 3500, the same truck Tim Bosma had for sale before he went missing. Those plans date back to 2012.
The jury has heard evidence that links a Walther PPK 380 pistol both to Millard and Smich. Det. Cst Harrison is back on the stand with more of their conversations tomorrow.
