Bosma accused back in court

We now know when the preliminary hearing will start in the Tim Bosma murder case. Both men accused of killing the Ancaster husband and father appeared by video Tuesday at the John Sopinka Courthouse. Cindy Csordas has the details.
September 8th of next year is when it all begins. Eight weeks have been set aside for both Millard and Smich to begin pretrial. During that time, the court will hear what evidence there is to begin a formal trial for the pair accused of killing Tim Bosma.
Bosma’s wife Sharlene quickly left the courthouse, not wishing to comment on the proceedings. She was there with her parents, Tim’s parents and other family and friends for support. The pair accused of killing Tim Bosma appeared by video at the John Sopinka Courthouse here in Hamilton. Dellen Millard wearing an orange jumpsuit had his hands clasped together in front of him and thanked the courtroom after some dates were set. Mark Smich also appeared in prisoner attire but hung his arms by his side. The pair are accused of killing Tim Bosma back in May after the Ancaster man posted his truck for sale on Kijiji. Bosma’s burned remains were found on Dellen Millards farm in Ayr just over a week after his disappearance. Toronto police revisited Millards farm two months ago looking for evidence to link Millard to the disappearance of 23-year old Laura Babcock who disappeared July of 2012. Police are also still investigating the death of Millard’s father Wayne, after what appeared to be a suicide last November. Wayne Millard died of a gun shot to the head.
Toronto police have never revealed if they found anything on Millards farm. Both Smich and Millard will appear again by video here at the John Sopinka Courthouse December 11th at 2pm for what Millards lawyer describes as administrative reasons.
