Two Canadian women are being held without bail after allegedly trying to cross the Maine border into Nova Scotia with firearms and illegal drugs in their car.

Police say the 18 and 22 year old women told U.S border guards they took a wrong turn on their way to Toronto.

Officials found two loaded handguns, ammunition, ecstasy pills and marijuana in their car.

If convicted, the women could face up to 15 years in U.S. federal prison.
