Book of condolence for Kormos

Books of condolence for Peter Kormos have been set up in the atrium at Welland City Hall and MPP Cindy Forster’s office.

The maverick politician had served Welland as MPP for 23 years. He was found dead inside his Welland home Saturday morning. After an autopsy Monday, police said the sudden death of the former Regional Councilor is not suspicious, although a cause of death hasn’t been released.
There will be a public memorial service for Kormos within the next few weeks. No date has been set yet.
