Bomb squad called out after suspected arson attempt

The Hamilton Police explosives unit is on the scene of a possible attempted arson on the mountain.

Police were called to a plaza at East 33rd and Concession Street around four this morning, after reports of three men breaking windows. The men fled the scene, but police did find multiple containers with flammable substances.

The plaza has been evacuated and police are still trying to determine what the substance is.

The three men were last seen on Crockett Street driving towards Upper Sherman in a red car.
