Body of student verified

The body of a woman found in the lower Niagara river is that of a Japanese student who went over the falls on Sunday.

Authorities in the U.S. have determined that a body found below Niagara Falls Thursday morning is that of Ayano Tokumasu.

New York State Parks Police recovered the body Thursday near the Cave of the Winds attraction.

Tokumasu went over the falls last Sunday after stepping over a guardrail.

The girl was seen posing with an umbrella, and is thought to have slipped and fallen.
