Body of missing 10-year-old girl found in creek: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says the body of a young girl who went missing more than a week ago has been found.
The 10-year-old girl was reported missing around 10:30 a.m. on March 6.
Emergency crews from multiple jurisdictions searched a river near Mitchell, Ont. where the girl had last been seen.
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Monday, police say a search team located the girl’s body in Whirl Creek.
“Our entire community has been affected by this tragedy, and our hearts are heavy,” said OPP in a post on Twitter.
Police thanked the community members and emergency responders who assisted with the search over the last nine days.
