Body found in Thorold may be missing man

The body of a man found in a Thorold field on Sunday could be 41-year-old Brian Kidd.

The developmentally challenged man went missing from his Welland group home on January 2. There were several searches for him but no clues were ever found.

The body in the field was found near Merrittville Highway and Holland Road. Tests are still being done to confirm the identity. Foul play is not suspected.
