Body found in search for missing woman in Niagara Falls

Police say the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of a 43-year-old woman in Niagara Falls has been taken over by the homicide unit after the body of an unidentified woman was found Friday.
Tenille Olivia Lepp, who has been known to live a transient lifestyle, was last seen on Oct. 25 in the area of Stanley Avenue near McLeod Road.
Police have been conducting a ground search in the area of Thundering Waters Boulevard and Marineland Parkway since she was reported missing last Tuesday.
Investigators say that the search led to the discovery of the body of an adult woman in the area, with identification expected shortly following a postmortem examination.

Police have said that they’re still searching for a missing woman, and “due to the circumstances” the investigation has been taken over by the homicide unit.
Neighbours in the area say there have been 25 or more people living in an encampment in the woods.
The investigation into the discovery of the body is active and ongoing with an increased police presence to be expected in the area.
