Durham police are still investigating after the bodies of a woman and child were found in the trunk of a car north east of Toronto on Saturday morning.

Police haven’t officially identified the bodies, but friends and family are posting condolences online for Pembroke resident Andrea Damude and her 8-month-old baby, Brock Damude.
Their bodies were discovered when someone spotted Andrea’s white Taurus in a farmer’s field just north of Sunderland, south of Highway 7 and east of Highway 12.
According to online sources, Andrea was on her way to Orillia to celebrate her 37th birthday.
Andrea’s husband, Brett Damude, is stationed at CFB Petawawa, according to media reports.
Autopsies on both bodies have been completed but police haven’t released the cause of death since forensic testing could take several more weeks. The homicide unit and forensic officers have been on the scene. Police aren’t actively seeking suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
