Rock and roll’s poet laureate is 80-years-old today.

Bob Dylan was born Robert Zimmerman on May 24th, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota.

His self-titled debut album was largely ignored, but album two, 1963’s “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan,” showcased his songwriting gifts and includes “Blowin’ in the Wind,” one of his most celebrated songs.

Nearly 60-years, a Nobel Prize and 100-million record sales later, Dylan’s still making music.
