Blended

Blended is a romantic comedy about a blind date gone sour that evolves into a nightmare vacation. Lauren, played by Drew Barrymore, and Jim, played by Adam Sandler, are single parents with the same end goal – love. After their blind date convinces them both that they’re better off single and determined to never see each other again, cruel fate brings the pair together again as their two families end up at the same African safari resort for Spring Break. Stuck in the same suite, they must find a way to cohabit for their children’s enjoyment. The film co-stars Kevin Nealon, Shaquille O’Neal, Terry Crews, and Joel McHale.

Blended doubles as a reunion for Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore with Wedding Singer director Frank Coraci after sixteen years since the smashing rom-com hit the big screens in 1998. The director, who is no stranger to directing Adam Sandler with The Waterboy and Click on his resume, was thrilled to work with the pair again because of the trio’s friendship. “It was such of a great feeling. We stayed friends over the years, but sometimes you don’t see each other as much as you’d like to,” Coraci says. “It was not only a great chance to all hang out again, but do what we do well when we’re all together.”
