Bingo hall touted for retail repurposing

(Updated) Hamilton’s economic development office sent out an interesting tweet this afternoon.

The tweet linked to a photo on Instagram showing the inside of the former Delta Bingo hall in downtown Hamilton — that’s the one that recently closed on the corner of Hughson and King. And it appears they’re advertising the space to some big retail names.

The office wrote: “45 thousand square feet in prime downtown #hamont space. @winners @homesense @marshalls.”
Others offered other suggestions, such as Chapters.

Hamilton’s economic development says this is one of their tactics to drum up interest in vacant properties.
