A fundraiser at a local high school today was aimed at keeping a successful program running to make sure no-one is left out. The best buddies program began 20 years ago and is now in more than 375 schools in Canada.

It pairs up a mainstream student with a student with intellectual disabilities. Kailtin and Jacob have been best buddies since the program launched at St Thomas More last fall. They go to school dances together, have lunch together and Kailtin goes to Jacobs hockey games.
