Beating Homicide

The assault of a 40-year-old man in Central Hamilton, has now turned into a homicide investigation. William Mcconville died in hospital on Friday, three days after being brutally assaulted in broad daylight outside his apartment building. Police were called to the corner of Stinson Street and Victoria Avenue South, just after eleven Wednesday morning where they discovered Mcconville’s unconscious body in the middle of the road. Police are hoping someone will come forward with information of the savage beating since it took place in the middle of the day. Mcconville was not employed and received a disability pension after he was attacked nearly four years ago. Police are looking for two men they believe to be responsible in this attack. One is described as black between 20 and 30 years old, he was wearing a red shirt, red pants and may have had a hand gun. The other is described as black, in his 30s and was wearing a black vest. Neighbours say Mcconville was a nice man who would always greet them and say hello.
