Bail hearing set for 8 teens after death of homeless Toronto man

Eight teenage girls charged with second-degree murder are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing after the death of a homeless man.
Officers say the teens spanned in ages from 13 to 16.
Det. Sgt. Terry Browne says the girls gathered in downtown Toronto on Dec. 17 night and allegedly got into two fights.

In the second fight, Browne says the girls stabbed the 59-year-old man who later died in hospital.
The girls cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The teenagers are scheduled to appear in youth court for a bail hearing on Jan. 5 of the new year.
