Bail hearing for man returned from PEI
A man charged in a Welland pharmacy robbery two years ago has been nabbed in Prince Edward Island.
A Canada Wide Warrant went out for 36 year old Richard Hannell after he didn’t show up in court.
He has a bail hearing set for Wednesday in St. Catharines.
Back on July 27th, 2009, the East Main Pharmacy in Welland was robbed by a male with a gun. Hannell was charged with robbery and use of an imitation firearm.
He was released on recognizance with a March 9th, 2012 court date in which he failed to appear.
Police investigators tracked Hannell’s movements to Prince Edward Island with cooperation from the RCMP and Charlottetown Police Department and Hannell was arrested on Saturday, March 17th, in Charlottetown.
