ATV driver ejected from vehicle in Hamilton, charged with drunk driving

Hamilton police have charged a 39-year-old with driving impaired after he was involved in a serious ATV collision last month.

Emergency crews were called to Highland Rd., just east of Fifth Rd. East around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, 2022.

Police say a 39-year-old man was riding an ATV heading eastbound on Highland Rd. when he lost control and was ejected from the vehicle.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been released.

The man has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation impaired while exceeding 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

He is scheduled to appear in court in February.
