Attempted murder charge
Police have charged a man with attempted murder for trying to run over a police officer.
27 year-old Owen Hill is alleged to have been at the wheel during a high-speed chase Tuesday near Woodstock.
It’s alleged that Hill tried to hit a police officer with a stolen GMC Yukon as the officer was deploying a spike belt at Highway 2 and County Road 4.
Hill is also charged with dangerous driving, engaging in a pursuit, theft, possession of stolen property and attempted theft.
He’s been remanded into custody until March 4.
His co-accused, 26-year-old Alisha Martin, is being held until Friday for a bail hearing.
Both Martin and Hill are from Ohsweken.
She’s charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
