At least 50 West Kelowna structures lost to wildfire

Tens of thousands of Canadians have had to flee their homes both in British Columbia and in the Northwest Territories.

Being called an unprecedented situation, officials with the Central Okanagan Regional District in B.C. say there are nearly 10,000 properties on evacuation order in the area as of this morning.

The federal government has sent in the Canadian Armed Forces to help combat the devastating wildfires, but some homes have already been lost.
