Assault in Burlington apartment

One man is in hospital after an assault at a Burlington apartment building Thursday night.

It happened in the second floor hallway of a building on Torrance Street around 10pm.

Reports say the 33 year old man was struck several times with the blunt end of a pistol but no shots were fired.

He was rushed to the regional trauma centre at Hamilton General with serious head injuries and is now in stable condition.

Police quickly arrested four suspects.

A 24 year-old Burlington man has been charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation order.

And three 19-yr-old Burlington men face similar charges.
