Ashley Madison hack fallout

[projekktor id=’20572′]
A week ago today around 36 million customers of the affairs website Ashley Madison had their personal information revealed by a hacking organization. Today, Toronto police revealed some of the personal fallout from the hack and how they plan on bringing those responsible to justice.
“Your actions are illegal and will not be tolerated, this is your wake up call.”
After their demands weren’t met by Toronto-based parent company Avid Life Media, the hackers released the information of more than 30 million profiles on the adultry website.
Toronto police revealed today that the fallout has been far from entertaining.
“We have two unconfirmed reports of suicides that are associated with the leak of Ashley Madison’s customers profiles. We now have hate crimes that are now a result of this leak. This isn’t fun and games anymore, this is real life and it’s affecting all of us.”
Avid Life Media – which is in the midst of a class action lawsuit over the leak – is offering half a million dollars for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
Toronto police couldn’t confirm whether the group behind the ‘Impact Group’ reside in the greater Toronto Hamilton area, so today, they were appealing to the hacking community to aid them in this ongoing investigation.
“This is a unique social and economic fallout. You know the impact team crossed the line. Do the right thing and get in contact with us.”
