Arrests in York U shooting

Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting at York University last week. And after executing a subsequent search warrant, more arrests have been made.

Two female students were injured in the incident which took place at a student centre food court late on March 6th.

Twenty-two year old Kemon Edwards is facing multiple charges including discharging a firearm and aggravated assault. After police executed a search warrant, Edwards has been additionally charged with possession of heroin and cocaine. During the search, three other men and two boys were arrested. 20-year old Dominic Bernard, 23- year old Jesse Dawson and 23-year old Alex James, all from Toronto were charged with possession of heroin, cocaine, and unauthorized possession of a firearm among other charges. All involved, including the 16 and 17- year old boys will appear in court Friday.
