Hamilton police have charged a 29-year old man with attempted murder after a New Year’s day stabbing.  It happened near Cannon and Steven Street around 3 in the morning. Police say they found a woman who had been stabbed repeatedly and chased around the neighbourhood. She is in hospital, expected to make a full recovery. Police say the suspect is her boyfriend.
