Arrest made in St. Catharines nightclub shooting

Niagara Regional police have arrested one of the suspects involved in a St. Catharines nightclub shooting.
In the early hours of Sunday September 29, four men and two women were rushed to hospital after being shot at Karma nightclub on St Paul St.
Following a lengthy investigation and with help from York regional police, a search warrant was executed at a home in Richmond Hill in the early hours of February 26.
33-year-old Saeed Savalanpour was arrested and faces a number of charges, including aggravated assault, discharging firearm with intent to endanger life and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
A second male was also found at the residence and was arrested. 34-year-old Jermaine Tyrell is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered.
Both men were scheduled to appear in court today for a bail hearing.
