Arrest made in Aldershot murder

Halton Police have made an arrest in the region’s fourth murder so far this year.

At about 5:30pm Thursday afternoon, police were called to a home on Enfield Road in Burlington where two men inside were fighting.

The men were father and son but it’s unclear if they lived together in the house.

According to paramedics, the father, 67-year-old Michal Kieda, suffered from blunt force trauma to the head.

He was taken to Joseph Brant Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The son, 41-year-old Konstanty Kieda has now been charged with second-degree murder.

He made an appearance in a Milton court Friday morning.

The Halton police homicide unit and forensics teams are continuing their investigating.
