Arrest in slew of Ontario robberies
Toronto police say a man faces 32 charges in connection with 11 robberies in Toronto, Peel and Kitchener.
Police say a man wearing sunglasses was armed with a weapon, when he demanded cash from several retail stores on Monday, and fled in a stolen vehicle.
The man did the same thing on Tuesday, but couldn’t start the stolen car on the Queensway, and fled on foot.
He tried to steal vehicles from two separate women, but was unsuccessful and was arrested.
Taqi Hayder faces several charges, including 11 counts of robbery and eight counts of possessing dangerous weapons.
