Arrest in senior care case

Hamilton police have made an arrest, after an 85-year old woman was found disoriented in downtown Hamilton.

After an investigation, officers found the woman suffers from dementia and was supposed to be in the care of her daughter, and her daughter’s partner who live in Spanish River Township near Sudbury.

The couple has now been charged with failure to provide the necessities of life.

A bail hearing is scheduled for Monday.
