Arrest in Sanford Stabbing

A Hamilton man has been charged with attempted murder, after a stabbing on Monday night.

Police say a 42-year old Hamilton man was in a cab at a bar near Sanford Avenue and Cannon Street, when the man reached through the window and stabbed the victim in the chest.

The victim was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.

Tuesday, police arrested 39 year old Daniel McLean.

Police say the two men know each other.
