Arrest in Hamilton break and enters

A 43 year old Hamilton man has been arrested in connection with a series of break and enters in the central downtown area of the city.

Police picked up Dennis Patrick Murphy after investigating a break-in at a hair salon on Main Street East the night of May 3rd.

The front window of the shop had been smashed and police found blood inside.

DNA testing was used to identify the suspect and police were able to link him to six other break and enters over the past four years.

Murphy is expected to appear in court Thursday.
