Arrest in attempted robberies

An 18 year old man is in police custody, after three robbery attempts in as many days.

Hamilton police say a man armed with a knife tried to grab cash from a Tim Horton’s drive-thru on Cannon Street East at Sanford Avenue last Saturday but left empty handed.

Police say a gunman with the same description tried to rob the same Tim’s the next day.

And the following day, police say a gunman robbed a nearby “Big Bee” store on Barton Street.

Brandon Green of Hamilton faces numerous robbery-related charges.
