Arrest in Fort Erie Murder

Niagara police have made an arrest in connection to a homicide in Fort Erie.

The body of 81-year old Blake Nicholls was found in his Bertie Street home on Monday. He was reportedly found face-down covered in blood with a hammer nearby. 66-year old Michael Laforme of Fort Erie was arrested near Sudbury and is now charged with second-degree murder. He’s set to appear in a St. Catharines court Friday.
