The longest Federal election in modern history is one week from today and during this extended campaign the three major parties have all had ups and downs but as it stands, according to most polls, the Liberals are in the lead.
As Stephen Harper tries to hang on to power he started his morning in Kitchener-Waterloo, tallying all the tax credits he says a family would lose if the Liberals win the election.
Harper’s focus was firmly on the Liberals, he barely mentioned the NDP or Tom Mulcair but he refused to admit his party was lagging in the race.
The Liberal leader spent the morning picking pumpkins with his family in Gatineau Quebec. Justin Trudeau said Harper is using fear tactics and spreading lies that a liberal government would not be rolling back those tax credits.
Tom Mulcair was in BC trying to convince voters that the NDP is the only credible alternative to the Conservatives. He too, downplayed the Liberal uptick the pollsters are reporting.
