Arcelor-Mittal Dofasco anniversary event

Arcelor-Mittal Dofasco celebrated their 100th anniversary in Hamilton Thursday with a time capsule dedication.

The steelmaker put its incorporation document from September 27th, 1912 inside the capsule.

A copy of a 1938 letter to employees announcing Dofasco’s profit sharing and savings fund was also included.

President and CEO Juergen Schachler says the key to another 100 years of success is innovation and pointed out that half the steels produced today weren’t around even a decade ago.
