Apartment fire in the Bronx kills 12

At least 12 people were killed in an apartment fire in the Bronx last night.
Police say the victims included four children, including a 1-year-old baby, and 8 adults. Police say they are still trying to identify six of the victims.
The fire, which was reported just before 7 last night started on the first floor of the building and spread quickly. About 170 firefighters fought the fire and were able to rescue about a dozen residents in sub-zero temperatures.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says it’s the worst fire tragedy in the city in at least 25 years.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
