Another wedding for Father of the Bride

We haven’t seen a new Nancy Meyers film since ‘The Intern’ and that was five years ago.  But, Netflix has just reunited the cast of Father of the Bride for an event that benefits the World Central Kitchen.  The U.S. charity has had unprecedented demands placed upon it since the Covid-19 pandemic began.  The new project is entitled ‘Father of the Bride 3 (ish)’ and it debuted last night on Netflix, YouTube and Facebook featuring the same loveable cast including Steve Martin, Diane Keaton and Martin Short. After 40 years of film making, Nancy Meyers considered herself retired until the pandemic arrived.  In quarantine, she wrote the script and had no trouble getting the original Father of the Bride cast members to participate.
