Another vehicle fire in St. Catharines

On Friday morning around 1:30 a.m, police responded to the area of Taylor Ave and Pleasant Ave in St Catharines for a pickup truck on fire.

A black 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck was extinguished by fire fighters without damages to other vehicles.  The K9 unit searched the area without any result.

This comes just days after a 55-year-old woman was arrested for several car fires in the St. Catharines downtown core.

Janet Margaret was charged with 7 different car fires between May 27 to July 10.

Police are asking the community to remain vigilant and to contact police to report any suspicious activity.
